Cessna Citation Excel

The Cessna Citation Excel is a midsize business jet manufactured by Cessna, a renowned American aircraft manufacturer. This aircraft was first announced in October 1994 and the initial Model 560XL made its first flight on February 29, 1996. In April 1998, the aircraft was certified by the relevant aviation authorities and over 1,000 units have since been delivered. The jet has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 20,200 lb (9,200 kg) and a range of 2,100 nautical miles (3,900 km). The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545 turbofans with a thrust range of 3,650–4,080 lbf (16.2–18.1 kN). The Citation Excel features the Citation V (560) unswept supercritical wing and cruciform tail, as well as a slightly shortened Citation X stand-up cabin. In 2004, the XLS update was released, which included upgraded engines and a glass cockpit. The 2008 XLS+ upgrade had further improvements, including upgraded engines and a revised nose.
