ATR 72-500

The ATR 72 is a regional airliner designed and manufactured by ATR (Avions de transport régional), a joint venture between French company Aérospatiale (now Airbus) and Italian aviation conglomerate Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.). It is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft with a standard seating capacity of 72 passengers, hence the name “72” in its designation.
